In life we wear many hats. Today I have on my mommy-thinking-about-school hat. So ourdaughter will be ready for preschool next year and I am going thru the mental process of what is best for her. Our son attended two wonderful years at Tahoe Community Nursery School. I went to a community meeting at the school earlier this week where the staff and board of directors were looking for community input to increase enrollment for next year. Tahoe Community Nursery School is an art and play based school where the kids really feel at home. The theme changes each month, as do the toys. The kids enjoy the consistency of the same schoolmates and staff for the whole school year. Its atmosphere is that of what you would imagine preschool to be… safe, loving, colorful, variety of activities, pet fish and lots of play. But it’s the extra stuff thatreally sets this school apart… Mother’s Day surprise, Daddy camp out, beach day to celebrate summer birthdays… just to name a few. If any of you locals are looking for the right match for a preschool, this one is definitely worth investigating. It has longevity in the community for a reason.
