This past Sunday Truckee hosted the 29th Annual Donner Lake Triathlon. It was a beautiful mountain day, ideal for endurance sport. A large crowd of athletes and spectators enjoyed the morning including many locals. My husband Ron was one of the athletes partaking in the event. The kids and I did our part by spectating and seeing “Daddy” at all the transitions.

- Ron finishing the 1 mile swim

- Finishing the 40K bike ride, return trip over Donner Summit
And as per Daddy’s request the kids were ready to run with him thru the finish line.

- The finish line, wrapping up with a 10K run.
Ron finished the race with of a time of about 3 hours 10 minutes. It was second place for the Clydesdale Division. Click here for the full results.

Right on, Ron! 2nd place…impressive. Next year 1st?
