About the Village At Squaw Valley
The Village at Squaw Valley is a pedestrian village at the base of the ski area which lets both guests and locals enjoy a new ambiance in Squaw Valley USA, home of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games. The Village at Squaw Valley has a variety of shops and restaurants making it easy to spend an afternoon or evening strolling along it’s cobble streets or sitting by the fire pit enjoying the mountain vistas.
The Village currently is composed of two phases, First Ascent and 22 Station. Each of the five buildings are four stories with the ground level used as commercial space. Floors two through four are fee simple owned condos available in one, two and three bedroom floor plans. Each condo comes ready to use and is fully furnished in one of several color schemes, depending on what phase it’s located in. The Village has a two story underground parking facility in which each condo owner is given one undesignated parking space. In addition, each owner has a ski/snowboard storage locker.
Throughout the year The Village hosts many special events including art and craft shows, Cheese and Wine Festival, October Fest, countless live concerts, free movie nights in the summer, decorations and festivities for celebrated holidays and plenty of activities for the kids
The Village, with it’s distinctly European flavor, offers a variety of shops and restaurants. Dining choices include Auld Dubliner, Balboa Cafe, Fire Sign Pizza, High Sierra Grill, Mountain Nectar, Mama Sake Sushi and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Shop – all welcome complements to Squaw Valley. The Village stores include, Tails by the Lake which brings Olympic Valley one of the country’s best shops for your favorite companion, and Waxen Moon gives you the chance to make their own candles. The Village is also home to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Splash Bath and Body, and Granite Chief Ski shop. Come and explore these and more that The Village has to offer.
